Polarity Therapy

Polarity Therapy works with life energy in all of its forms, using a comprehensive system of bodywork, exercise, nutritional guidance, and verbal counseling to bring body, mind, emotions, and spirit into a state of balance, harmony, and vibrant health.

Shiatsu Anma

Shiatsu Anma is a form of Japanese bodywork based on concepts in traditional Chinese medicine, such as the use of chi meridians. Shiatsu derives from a Japanese massage modality called anma.

Our Shiatsu instructor Dr. Kaneko, PhD, L.Ac. is a founder of Tao Healing Arts center and Shiatsu Massage School of CA. He is also one of the original founding members of A.O.B.T.A. in the USA and Shiatsu Association of  America in Southern CA.

Reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by "laying on hands" and is based on the idea that an unseen "life force energy" flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If our "life force energy" is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

Acupressure & Intro to Meridians

The role of acupressure has been paramount in traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) for more than 2000 years, and the fact that it is still in use today is a testimony to its effectiveness in the treatment of illness and pain. Acupressure is essentially a method of sending a signal to the body to “turn on” its own self-healing or regulatory mechanisms. Normally, Qi (vital energy) circulates through natural pathways in the body called meridians. Blockage of this flow or an imbalance in Yin and Yang can cause illness and pain. Acupressure helps to correct functional imbalances and restore the flow, thus returning the body to a more natural state of well-being.

The IEBP program was specially designed and created by our school, recognizing the importance of energetic styles and modalities and integrating them into a therapeutic approach. It expands upon the foundational belief of our school that the body is not separate from the mind, emotions, or the spirit. Students get the benefit of learning the premium IPSB style of massage, utilizing proper Tai Chi body mechanics to increase practitioner longevity, in addition to receiving the opportunity to explore multiple energetic modalities.

The IEBP is the only program of its kind in California,

and it embodies the future of therapeutic bodywork!
