Core Skills: Introduction to
IPSB Massage
- Would you like to be more aware
of your own body while working on
clients?
- Have your forgotten the core
principles of IPSB massage?
- Were you
trained at another school and now want to
take advanced classes at
IPSB?
- Are you looking for a class to
get you ready for advanced
classes?
If you answered yes to any of these
questions, then Core Skills is right for
you!
For 27 years the IPSB style of
massage has helped therapists deliver a powerful,
deeply moving sensory experience to clients while
protecting the therapist's body from stress,
injury and burnout. This course for new and
seasoned massage professionals overviews the
principles of IPSB Massage through movement
explorations, hands-on bodywork and exercises in
personal sensory awareness. Students learn
tai chi-based movements to integrate into their
massage repertoire as well as a kinder, gentler
approach to deeper circulatory work. Proper
body mechanics, an introduction to tai chi,
communication skills, professional boundaries,
injury prevention and integration of body, mind
and heart are emphasized.

The Santa
Monica Pier Concert Series is going strong!
Stop by our booth every Thursday night
through August 31 and receive some phenomenal
bodywork. Many of our graduates have
volunteered their time to raise money in support
of the Concert Series and to let the community
know abut our clinic. What could be better
than an IPSB Massage on the beach to the sound of
live music? Many of the graduate volunteers
recently took our new Event Massage Class to brush
up on their On Site skills. If you are
interested in what that class is all about, ask
for a demonstration while you attend the
concert.
If you would like to volunteer, there is
still time! This is also a great way to meet
new potential clients, network and hand out your
personal business cards. This is just one
more way we are striving to support you in
building a thriving practice. If you have
questions or would like to volunteer, please
contact Sabrina at (310) 342-7130 or
sabrina@ipsb.com

Bye Bye
Annie!
Our fabulous Front Desk
Administrative Assistant, Annie Vincent, is moving
to Pennsylvania! While working at IPSB,
Annie also completed the 150 Massage Technician
course. Her energetic personality and free
spirited approach to live has brought so much joy
into the office. Annie has been an
amazing asset to our school and we will miss her
very much! Good luck
Annie!
Hello
Mary!
Taking Annie's place is Mary Mason.
Mary is currently a 550 Hour program student who
comes to us with a
plethora of experience and a true understanding of
our community. Many of you have
probably attended class with Mary or had her as a
TA in your tech classes, so she should be a
familiar face! Mary is already doing a
great job and we are so happy to have her join our
administrative team. Feel free to stop by
the office and welcome Mary!
