IPSB is the original school of holistic massage in the greater Los Angeles area since 1979. Our distinctive approach to massage training, which integrates body mind therapies with masterful body mechanics, continues IPSB’s tradition as a recognized leader in massage training.  

All programs at IPSB are designed to meet the requirements for professional practice as determined by the California Massage Therapy Council (CAMTC) or the American Polarity Therapy Association (APTA).

SOUND BODY MECHANICS

At IPSB, Tai Chi forms the core of our body mechanics training, to ensure our students take care of their bodies and have longevity in their careers.

IPSB Foundations Class

IFC  IPSB Foundations Class   |  120 HOURS

This training is required to complete the 550 Hour IMBP Program and the 550 Hour IEBP Programs.

Whether you are new to the field of massage therapy and bodywork or a seasoned practitioner, the 120-Hour IPSB Foundations class teaches you the essence of the distinct 'IPSB Massage' style. This class is the beginning of the self-exploration process and is the building block for further studies. It is the longest class in our massage program with a focus on our Tai Chi informed body mechanics to equip the practitioner for a long injury free career and retraining injured practitioners with new ways to approach how they work. 

 

To gain licensure for CAMTC certification, completion of a minimum of 500 Hours is required

Massage Therapy Programs 

IMPB  Integrative Massage & Bodywork Program    |  550 HOURS

The 550 Hours Integrative Massage & Bodywork Program provides hands-on training, practical experience and industry support you need to become a qualified and confident massage therapist looking to practice an integrative blend of deep tissue and sports massage modalities in their sessions.  This program is designed to meet the requirements to gain CAMTC certification. Once the program requirements are met, you will be presented with a Certificate of Completion.

Craniosacral Therapy Program

ICSU  Integrative Craniosacral Unwinding Program    |  489 HOURS   

PART 1: Cranial & Polarity Foundations / 270 HOURS         

PART 2: Cranial & Polarity Advanced  / 219 HOURS

The Integrative Craniosacral Unwinding program teaches treatment and holding space for the cerebrospinal fluid, autonomic nervous system, and connective tissue system throughout the body, including classical, contemporary and esoteric craniosacral techniques. Students learn how to create a relationship that is non-invasive and client centered, honoring their client's innate healing process. Upon completion of all program requirements, students receive a certificate in Integrative Craniosacral Unwinding.
