California State Certification

To be eligible to apply for California State Certification, a student must complete the required training hours from courses in a CAMTC approved program at a CAMTC approved school. Core subjects include: Massage Technique, Anatomy & Physiology, Contraindications, Business, Ethics, Health & Hygiene.

Program Students: Enrollment and Payment Information

Program students receive a discount on all classes. Program students must complete an Enrollment interview, Application Form, Enrollment Agreement, pay the $95 Enrollment Fee, provide copy of high school or college diploma and enroll in each individual class. Students may enroll online at ipsb.com, via email to info@ipsb.com, or in person or via Zoom with a Student Services rep. Please note: Student Services will not enroll you in a class unless you make a formal request. Admissions staff do not provide enrollment services.

The undersigned student acknowledges and agrees to the following:

Unless arranged otherwise, the entire tuition is to be paid by the first day of class. Any student failing to make the contractual payments within a three (3) day grace period, without having made arrangements with IPSB, is subject to a $25.00 late fee and possible restriction from attending class.

IPSB has written rules and regulations pertaining to student conduct. Student agrees to abide by such rules as outlined in the school catalog and acknowledges that any violation may be grounds for dismissal.

Student acknowledges that this class may involve physical exertion, and affirms that to the best of her/his knowledge and belief, s/he is in good physical and mental health, and has no physical or mental disabilities which would be adversely affected by participation in the class. Any intentional omission of information may lead to removal from class.

IPSB must be informed in case of pregnancy. Student is required to submit a written release from the attending physician stating that s/he may participate in the class while pregnant. Approval to participate is conditional, upon individual circumstances and class limitations.

It is understood that it is the student’s responsibility to comprehend the written and verbal materials presented in class. If a translator, interpreter or private tutoring is required, it is not the responsibility of IPSB. No foreign language classes are provided.

Any cancellations must be submitted via email at least one week prior to the class. There is a $5 fee to drop a class. Late drops, less than one week before the class start date, carry a fee of $50. If you are unable to attend the first class meeting, you must notify the office to remain in the class. A student absent at the first class meeting who has not contacted the office by the start of class will be considered a no show, and the space offered to any wait-listed student. The $50 late drop fee will be assessed.

Students who are absent more than twenty (20) percent of total class hours will be required to repeat the class. Example: 16 hours of total class time: Missing 4 hours = 20%. Students who are absent less than 20% of class hours may choose to make-up the missed hours by undertaking a tutorial, a table review, or retaking the class (if the class permits). Pricing for tutorials and tables reviews can be found on each class syllabus.

Students will receive credit for the class only if all monies are paid no later than the last day of class, all evaluations are passed, and hours completed. Missing hours, evaluations, and assignments must be made up within a nine (9) month period from the scheduled completion date, unless otherwise stated by the instructor. Make-ups will not be accepted after that date and the class will be considered failed.

Withdrawal from a class in session must be given in writing, in person or by certified mail or email to an administrative email address. Refunds are based on a pro rata calculation. Students will be charged for the hours of instruction for which they enrolled/registered up to the date the withdrawal was received or post-marked by administration. Any refunds due will be made within forty-five (45) days of the withdrawal date.

Refunds are based on the following formulas and on advanced payment in full:

10% Hours of Instruction - 90% Refund / 25% Hours of Instruction - 75% Refund

50% Hours of Instruction - 50% Refund / 60% Hours of Instruction - 40% Refund

75% Hours of Instruction - 25% Refund / 100% Hours of Instruction - No Refund
