Why People Choose IPSB

TAI CHI CHUAN

Learn the Yang short form with a direct lineage to the teacher who brought Tai Chi to the US: Cheng Man Ching.

The IPSB-style massage is derived from the ancient art form known as Tai Chi Chuan.

LONGEVITY

Most massage therapists work 5-7 years before getting injured or burned out. Using Tai Chi principles to generate energy and utilize proper body mechanics reduces repetitive motion injury by activating large muscle groups rather than using smaller, easily injured muscles (i.e. thumbs, fingers, forearms). This ensures healthy careers that last decades.

BODY MIND

By learning body-mind principles, students gain a greater understanding of themselves. They have increased awareness of emotional sources of pain, healthier relationships with their clients, and healthy boundaries.

COMMUNITY

IPSB has a robust community where students establish life-long friendships and connections. IPSB staff are all alumni, and provide ongoing support for students as they move into their careers.

IPSB MY WAY

At IPSB we are all about meeting you where you’re at. We have a varied schedule and offer flexible, 0% interest, no early payment penalty, payment plans that are based on what works for you. Because you need a massage table to practice, your table cam also be built into your payment plan. The average program takes 18 months, but is based on both scheduling of classes and your availability to take them, some people complete it faster and some people add in electives and specializations to their payment plans, which takes longer.

Generate energy while you work, as opposed to using personal energy.

IPSB JOB FAIR

IPSB is excited to announce next quarterly JOB FAIR
FRIDAY, JUNE 30 at 7pm PT

This free event is open to current students, alumni and anyone considering becoming a massage therapist with us. Come meet some local employers who are specifically looking for our alumni and hear about what they have to offer. You’ll have a chance to give them your info and set up interviews while there. This is a great way to see what job opportunities are in the local job market beyond private practice.

Refreshments will be served.

If you are an employer who would like to have a table at this event, email sabrina@ipsb.com and she will send you the information to register.

Testimonials

I fully paid for my program, but I received so much more than that. As I learned about myself and how I maneuver the world, a community grew up all around me.

I know that wherever I go;  I can reach out to anyone at IPSB (faculty, staff, students) and they'd be willing to share their experience and offer support.
